All our patches are created with fill stitch background along with a satin stitch border in the shape you select. At present we do not offer any design customization for patches, meaning you will get the patch of the selected design as is without any changes in size, color, or lettering of the design.

Backing Options for a Patch
Sew-On :

Patch will be ready to sew on to garments or items and will have a sealed backing.

Iron-On :

Patch will have an iron backing applied which you can then iron onto your garment or item. We DO NOT recommend an iron on backing for leather, satin, or other delicate materials.

Velcro :

Patch will have the hook side of Velcro attached and the loop side will be included.
Border Options for a Patch
Hugging Border :

The 3mm satin stitch border hugs the shape of the design.

Circle :

The 3mm satin stitch border will be in a circular shape around the entire design.

Heart :

The 3mm satin stitch border will be in a heart shape around the entire design.

square :

The 3mm satin stitch border will be in a square shape around the entire design.

Rectangle :

The 3mm satin stitch border will be in a rectangle shape around the entire design. If the design is horizontal in shape the rectangle will be horizontal, if the design is vertical in shape, the rectangle will be vertical.

  •  Can I customize the text on my patch?
    Currently, patches will be created with selected designs with no modifications, but we are exploring this possibility for later release.
  •  What stitches are used in embroidery patches?
    Patches are created complete with a base fill stitch, the stitches in the selected design, and a 3mm Satin border.
  •  What is the size range for these patches?
    Up to 4” initially and no more than 8000-10000 stitch count.
  •  What is the turnaround time to get my patch?
    The current turnaround time is 2-3 days for patches to ship.
  •  Can I make any design a custom patch?
    For now, only designs selected by EmbroideryDesigns as “Patch Appropriate” will be available to make into a patch. EmbroideryDesigns is continuously looking for additional designs to add for patch applications and encourages customers to check back often for the latest available products.
  •  What are the shipping and handling charges for patches?
    Shipping charges are based on the total quantity and destination. For destinations within the USA, first class shipping rate applies. International shipping rates vary depending on the destination and shipping method chosen. Free shipping may be available for qualifying orders. Please refer to the checkout page for the most accurate shipping costs and options.
  •  When can I expect to receive my patches after placing the order?
    Normally, orders are shipped within 2-3 business days after you place the order. But larger orders may take little longer as in most cases, the patches are manufactured after order is received.
